Dana Mahan Rebecca Thompson
While completing a Ph.D. in the History and Culture of Ancient Israel at the University of Arizona, Dane pastored Serenity Baptist Church west of Tucson from 1984-2015. He has taught as an adjunct assistant professor for Fuller Southwest and Golden Gate Theological Seminaries, as well as Wayland Baptist University. He and his wife, Mary C. have three children and five grandchildren. They “retired” to Cincinnati, Ohio to be near four of those grandchildren in July, 2015. Running in the early mornings in the streets of Cincinnati keeps him fit; being a grandfather and volunteer with high school softball players keeps him young at heart! He is the author of On the Back Side of Nowhere: Stories of Grace from a Desert Rest Stop (Westbow: 2014).
