was raised in Indiana by his grandparents and mother, who had been long-term missionaries in the Congo. After degrees in Religious Studies and History, he worked for a campus ministry at Indiana University. An interest in international affairs led to an MBA in Finance and a decade in international banking. Following a call to ministry, Gary served on staff with Vineyard congregations in Evanston, Illinois and Palo Alto, California. For the last 15 years he has pastored an ethnically and economically diverse congregation on Tucson. Recently he helped plant an English language congregation for young African refugees and is working on a community center for refugees of all sorts.
