Rev. Dr. Robert Cornwall

Robert has served as Senior Pastor of Central Woodward since July 2008. A graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary of Pasadena, CA (M.Div. and Ph.D. in Historical Theology), he is editor of the journal Sharing the Practice and the author of a number of books, including Marriage in Interesting Times (Energion, 2016), Freedom in Covenant (Wipf and Stock, 2015), Worshiping with Charles Darwin (Energion, 2013), and Faith in the Public Square: Living Faithfully in the 21st Century (Energion, 2012). He has also served congregations in Santa Barbara and Lompoc, California, as well as teaching at Manhattan Christian College (Kansas) and Fuller Theological Seminary. Active in ecumenical and interfaith work, he currently serves as a chaplain for the Troy Police Department and as a board member of the Council on Christian Unity of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
